My guitar nail broke and now I can’t do the cover I’ve been practicing till it grows back :(
I need one of those thumb pick things.
Just realised something.
I feel like such an imposter covering the songs I cover, and writing the songs i write.
Like, I’ve never experienced most of the things I sing about.
And the next one I want to do is kind of about getting drunk after a breakup, and I wonder if it’s okay to sing about getting drunk when you never have been, and don’t even drink! or if it’s okay to sing about breakups and love when you’ve never even talked to a guy your age face to face in 2 years?
huh. this was just a thought. A bit of a strange one at that.
I don’t even know WHERE this is coming from.
I’m kind of stuck between deciding which song to cover badly next.
Because they’re all sort of difficult due to being deep voiced man-songs.
BUT the choices are
- The Strokes - Ask me Anything (on piano)
- Have a little Faith in me - John Hiatt (on Ukulele)
- OR All I Want is You - Barry Louis Polisar (Uke or guitar maybe.NOT sure about dis)
Yeah. ANY suggestions? Or ideas of other songs? ?
Bad bad Bob Dylan covers on one GIANT album.
OH MY GOSH, somebody get me a shotgun.
Actually, just buy me every single one of this cover album and we will light a big bonfire and burn them. For the good of the world.
